I had plenty of icing left over, and was going to colour a batch of it black for this, but found a pre-made black gel icing tube i the cupboard which I used to save time.

]]>This is the birthday cake I made for Sebastian's 6th birthday. Actually I didn't make the cake itself; it was made by a friend of ours. I just decorated it!
The cake is a fairly minimalist version of the Gryffindor crest (Gryffindor being one of the houses at Hogwarts school, for those of you not familiar with Harry Potter)

]]>I made this for Ollie's third birthday party. I decorated it over two nights - it almost didn't survive the first night as I'd left it in the oven for safe-keeping, and Lou turned the oven on the next morning to preheat it before making cupcakes. She discovered it in time thoug, and the damage was fairly minor (you can see some fill in at the top left, and maybe a crack at the bottom left).
